伊索寓言：La zorra y el león

Había una vez un león que tenía hambre, y habiendo la ocasión de comer, preguntó a la oveja cómo era su aliento a lo que la oveja respondió la verdad, diciéndole que muy apestoso. El león, fingiéndose entonces ofendido, le dio un fuerte golpe en la cabeza y la mató diciéndole: - ¡Ahí va! porque no has sentido vergüenza de ofender a tu rey.
Después preguntó el león lo mismo a la cabra , es decir, si su aliento olía bien. Y la cabra, viendo lo mal que le había ido a la oveja, le contestó que su aliento era maravilloso y olía muy bien.
Entonces el león le pegó un fuerte golpe en la cabeza y la mató exclamando: - ¡Ahí va! porque me has adulado con falsedades.
Haciéndole después la misma pregunta a la zorra, pidiéndole cómo tenía el aliento. Pero la zorra se alejó de él, recordando lo mal que les había ido a las otras y le contestó - ¡De buena fe, señor , le digo que no le puedo responder a la pregunta, puesto que estoy resfriada y nada percibo de su aliento!.
Y así se escapó del león. Y los demás animales que estaban en peligro, sin provecho murieron, ya que no supieron encontrar la respuesta adecuada.

Once there was a hungry lion and, having the possibility to eat, he asked the sheep how was his breath, and the sheep answered the truth, saying that it was repellent. The lion pretended to be offended by this, gave it a strong blow on the head and killed it saying: 'Here you are! Why did you not feel ashamed to offend you King? '
After this he asked the goat the same thing, meaning, whether his breath was smelling good. And the goat that had seen what had happened to the sheep answered that it was wonderful and smelled good.
The lion hit the goat on the head and killed it with the words: 'Here you are! Why did you adulate me with falsehoods.'
Later he put the fox the same question and asked him to tell how his breath was. The fox made from the lion, because he remembered what happened to the others and answered: 'Believe me, Sir, I tell you that I cannot answer the question, because I have a cold and am not able to perceive your breath.'
This is how the he escaped the lion. The other animals died in vain because they did not know how to answer the question the right way.
